Below you can find the latest information about how we’re adapting and opening up the studio responsibly for bookings during the ongoing pandemic.

Like many businesses, we're adapting and working out what the future looks like and how we can safely keep on helping you make great sounds. Our full policy is linked to below, but the main points regarding bookings are as follows:

  • We are now offering limited bookings for a maximum of 4 performers at a time to attend recording sessions. We will only operate a couple of sessions per week to allow gaps of a few days to sanitise equipment and minimise the risk of transmission. During these sessions, physical distancing will be maintained wherever possible. For groups consisting of more than 4 people, we recommend that you get in touch to discuss how in most cases, we can still make your recording sessions work with a little forward planning.

  • These sessions will primarily be for the recording part of the process. Where possible, all vocal comping, mixing, editing, post-production, etc will be done afterwards in unattended sessions. With our fantastic online approval process, this can actually result in a more focussed workflow and a better end result. However, If you feel that it would be beneficial to have your direct input (during vocal comping for instance), we can arrange this via full quality online streaming and video chat (see video link below). By keeping the participation of performers in the studio to a minimum, we reduce the risks of increased infection load. We’ve recently added another post which might help to give you an idea of what to expect.

  • You will be required to submit your details for use in a track and trace system. We will retain these details for 21 days only. We will also display a QR code for you to scan within the NHS test and trace app as an alternative to submitting your details via our own system.

  • We are operating at a reduced capacity to reduce the risk of infectious material surviving between sessions on surfaces and contact points in the building. In order to maximise productivity and to enable us to reduce the frequency of bookings, we are implementing a minimum session length of 3hrs - this time will be allocated as required between setup, your attended recording time and the unattended editing, mixing and post-production tasks which take place afterwards.

  • All sessions must be pre-paid in advance in order to remove the need for cash payments and maintain physical distancing.

  • Face coverings should be work when possible, although we accept that this will often not be practical when performing in the studio.

  • Full explanations for these measures and details of physical distancing and hygiene guidance is included in our full policy document below

This company policy includes the measures we are actively taking to mitigate the spread of coronavirus. You are kindly requested to read and follow all of these rules diligently, to sustain a healthy and safe workplace in this unique environment.
